Respite_Picture.jpgThe National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) announces a new program, EFMP Respite Care, for Marine Corps families. This program is a partnership between the U.S. Marine Corps and NACCRRA and is specifically designed for Marine Corps families who have children identified as Exceptional Family Members (EFM). This project is being coordinated in eastern North Carolina by the Onslow County Partnership for Children for active duty military families affiliated with Camp Lejeune , New River Air Station and Cherry Point Air Station.

NACCRRA EFMP Respite Care will help Marine Corps families with children with special needs by providing 40 hours of respite care per month so they can leave the house, go to an appointment, or just rest, while knowing that their child is well cared for.

Who is eligible for the NACCRRA EFMP Respite Care program?

Marine families may be eligible for EFMP Respite Care if the following criteria have been met:

  • The family is enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
  • The sponsor is impacted by the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)
